We are a family of four adults who, between us, have a wealth of hospitality experience, beginning with running an ex-patriot dining club in Canada, progressing to a seafood restaurant with rooms In Cornwall to a country house hotel in Somerset then on to Scotland, first at the West Loch Hotel, Tarbert and now here at the Western Isles. Our team is led by Andrew Ryan, who worked for Stakis (later Hilton) Hotel Group as food and beverage manager at major hotels in London and Brighton, before striking out on his own. We are all dedicated to making a stay at the Western Isles an experience to be savoured and fondly remembered.

The hotel has recently changed hands from corporate owners to our family quartet of private hoteliers, who are intent on restoring this beautiful historic hotel to the standard of excellence it once enjoyed.
