Hello again from the Owners of the Western Isles Hotel
After more than three months in lockdown, we are ready to reopen for business and I am happy to say that, from a standing start, reservations are now flowing in again. This persuades us that we are right to open as soon as the Government allows rather than wait till next season in the hope that there will be a vaccine by then. People need holidays, especially after being confined to home for some time, and we are proud to be here to provide them.
Before you book a stay with us, however, you will want to know what steps we have taken to protect you from Coronavirus while you are here. They are all set out in our Keeping you COVID-19 Safe & Covid-19 Risk Assessment(s), which you will find here on our website. This identifies risks posed by each location in the hotel and the measures we are taking to eliminate them.
We have invested heavily in state-of-the-art, hi-tech equipment including a totally non-invasive way of taking the temperature of everyone entering the building (a high temperature is one of the main symptoms of Covid-19), and “fogging” equipment, which emits a very fine mist to sanitise whole rooms. The public rooms have been rearranged to make social distancing easier in simple ways and to enable food and drink to be delivered to guests safely.
Our staff have been fully trained in providing service in a risk-free manner and are looking forward to taking care of you in the “new normal”.
We look forward to seeing you here at Western Isles,
Andrew Ryan & Rosaline M. Ryan, Owners
